WR Arts: Discount Dance Page

An important part of your child’s dance & theater arts education is being “class ready”.

WR Arts’ dress code supports a well-focused arts class experience. Be sure your child is prepared to create  in the class dress codes as noted below. Students not in dress code/ teacher approved attire will be required to observe class or will be asked to remove any distracting items of clothing/ accessories.

Hair must be worn in a ponytail or bun for Ballet classes or neatly pulled off of the face in a secure ponytail for all other classes. If your child has short hair, please secure hair off of the face with clips or a headband. Children with longer hair should also secure hair back with a headband.

Keep jewelry (Oversized earrings, necklaces, crowns, etc.) to a minimum! Small earrings and light bracelets are welcome. NO ELECTRONIC WEARABLES (eg. smartwatches) unless students can show that the device is NOT a distraction. In the event your child is unable to focus in class due to the wearable, we will require the device is placed in their dance bag for the duration of class.

Leotards, tights, and shoes can be purchased online through Discount Dance Supply & Amazon but we encourage checking with local dance shops to enrich your child's dance experience.

If you need assistance with obtaining your child’s basic dress code needs, WR Arts can size your child and order shoes/ leotards/ tights as needed. Costs will be reviewed before ordering. Your card on file will be charged the cost of the order plus a $30.00 convenience fee, after fitting.

WR Arts universal dress code color is  BLACK. While we encourage the continued institution of level-specific dress codes, having an all black option is welcome as an alternative. We request your child wear the assigned dress code colors noted below but or black leotards, leggings, tights (for Modern class only) sweatsuits, etc. are welcome as a general alternative.

WR Arts will be instituting Photo Days where notice will be given and students are required to attend IN DRESS CODE for photo and video recording. FYI- students in attendance that have waived our use of their image for external use are still required to attend class in the day’s dress code, to support class morale! Details to come.
