Teen In- studio Assistant: September 2023 - June 2024

Job type: part time, 1-3 days

Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays; see daily shift needs below

Compensation: $18.00/ hour

In an effort to create additional opportunities for our teen students, WR Arts has created a Teen Assistant position. This paid, part-time position, offers teens with hands-on experience, important social-emotional (SEL) skills, related to dance education. This opportunity is a great fit for those looking for a career in child care or as a teaching artist. 

A little about you: 

You like to work with children and have an interest in the performing arts. You’re able to take direction and work with others as a team. You’re self-motivated, communicative, punctual, and committed to helping our teaching artists achieve thoughtful and successful lessons.

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Assisting class: helping instructors with prop management, leading students/ assisting with spacing, keeping students focused

  • Answering the door during drop off and pick up to studio classes

  • Refilling Brita

  • Chaperoning bathroom visits

  • Capturing pictures/ videos

Shift needs: 

  • Wednesdays: 3:30 - 4:30PM • Assisting Intro to Modern • Assistance needed September 27th - January 24th

  • Wednesdays: 4:30 - 5:30PM • Assisting Street Styles: Hip Hop/ House/ Vogue• Assistance needed September 27th - January 24th

Note that as of September 27th, 2021 WR Arts requires that all teaching artists and assistants be compliant with its COVID-19 vaccination policy, which requires all staff to be fully vaccinated, with proof of vaccination.
